Vice President of Engineering & System Architect

This senior level position is responsible for the engineering and systems solution for the overall Shulogique proprietary mass customization shoe design and delivery process. All technical development staff report up through this position and include the design and specification of the following elements in the process:

  • Custom digital automatic foot scanning system
  • Automated image processing software
  • Fit & comfort algorithm
  • Custom last and material cut file generation software
  • Material science and communication technologies

This is an opportunity for you to make a huge difference in a small company environment.​ As the Vice President of Engineering & System Architect, you will be providing leadership, direction, and management to the Software and Hardware engineering team in meeting design, development, and release requirements while ensuring products meet design and quality requirements.​ As a hand-on leader, you will oversee all phases of the engineering process, including development, R&D, and QA while participating in determining the company's strategic technical direction.​ We are most interested in candidates, whose background includes leading a multi-disciplined software and hardware engineering team, using traditional and agile development approaches.​
 

The position requires extensive hands on engineering experience and also significant experience managing cross functional engineering teams as electronics design, mechanical engineering, software development; image processing and materials science all come into play in this system. The right candidate for this job must have 15+ years of related experience and posses a Bachelors or Masters of Science degree in Engineering and have proven capability of personally leading the development of one or more sophisticated multi-disciplinary engineering projects from scratch. The ability to develop software is highly desirable and if not a core skill must be offset by implementation level expertise in one or more of the application’s engineering disciplines. Previous experience with working in a startup business is highly desired.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic planning, architecture, approach, technical direction, guidance, and management of all engineering development projects.​
  • Defining and communicating development schedules and allocation of engineering resources.
  • Developing engineering processes and procedures to ensure development and testing meet design specifications and requirements.​
  • Creating a development culture of high performance, meeting schedules and deliverables.​

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Computers, or related field
  • 5+​ year track record successfully leading and managing a multi-discipline development team in the development of quality software and hardware integrated products.​
  • Experience developing and managing multiple product release schedules and milestones within budget.​
  • Capability to grow, develop, and retain a strong engineering team with multi-discipline skill sets.​
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to explain technical concepts to a variety of audiences.​
Marketing & Event Coordinator

We are seeking a Marketing & Event Coordinator to help manage our on going Shulogique customer events.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual seeking a green field opportunity to shape how the company establishes a digital presence from an early stage and to be a key contributor to our success story.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Shulogique uses 3D imaging technology to scan women's feet and make shoes that fit.  Thus, Shulogique holds a variety of scanning events where women can get their feet scanned, check out our shoe collection, design and purchase shoes. It will be the responsibility of the Marketing & Event Coordinator to help organize the scanning  scanning events. More specifically, they will be responsible for:

 

  1. Manage the details of each event - location, setup, invitations, promotion, etc.
  2. Maintain the event calendar via website
  3. Work with women who want to host their own private events.
  4. Manage event promotions ensuring attendance levels are met for each event
  5. Coordinate logistics with guests, hosts and Shulogique team before, during and after each event.
  6. Document event attendance and conversion statistics.
  7. Make strategic recommendations related to improving the event experience.
  8. Meet potential customers and business partners for Shulogique.

Success in this project will be measured not only in reaching target attendance and conversion levels, but also in the satisfaction level of guest attendees.

Finally, the position will expose this person to other aspects of the company – product strategy, customer events and business plan.  We will encourage this person to participate in these discussions or activities, when available, to help them better understand the overall business of Shulogique and become better integrated with the other team members.

 

Job requirements:
 

Experienced in or degree in - Business, Retail, Marketing, Event Planning or related field. 

  • 1-3 years track record in building and organizing events and collecting data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer relationship building
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Good understanding of social media, direct experience in social media a plus
  • Ability to be creative in implementing strategies on a limited budget
  • Experience in creating, sourcing and managing content development and publishing
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Very strong written and oral skills

Public Relations Manager

We are seeking a Public Relations Manager to be in charge of building and implementing our PR plan.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual seeking a green field opportunity to build the public relations functions of the company from an early stage and to be a key contributor to our success story.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The public relations manager will analyze and build a plan for Shulogique. This will include researching and identifying the right type of  media outlets – online, print, blogs, user groups, radio, etc – to help get the Shulogique name out in the market place.  After they have completed the research and done the analysis we will want this person to develop a plan for executing it – who to talk to along with when and how to position the company. The plan will also include identifying the right PR resources (e.g. employees or agency).  Plus, they will create press kit for the company to be used on the website and with media/analysts. 

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • PR Analysis
  • Documented PR plan & presentation (PPT)
  • Identifying recourses needed & associated costs
  • Presenting Shulogique to the press
  • Scheduling interviews and speaking opportunities for the senior management team
  • Press/media kit
  • Integrating the PR plan into the Shulogique business plan

 

 

Job requirements:

  • 2-4 years of proven PR experience
  • Experience in the fashion industry, a plus
  • Passion for the business
  • Ability to produce presentation, press and media related materials
  • Very strong written and oral skills

Database Manager

We are seeking a Database Manager to be in charge of perfecting and managing the company's databases.

Responsibilities:

 

Database Manager will work in our existing MS Access and SQL databases to improve the design, data input flow and reports/analysis.

Some key areas of responsiblity will include:

  • Structured architecture for organizing and storing the data
  • User interface design
  • Various reports
  • Database architecture document
  • Database server management
  • Reports and analysis that are automatically generated
  • Documented database plan/process
  • Defining and resources needed for the business (e.g. software, people)
